[Continuation log from a NSFW meme AU. Locked to

[He isn't sure what exactly happened between leaving the classroom that day and the next morning. Only that he had somehow ended up getting so horridly sick that even the front office lady sounded concerned when he called in about needing a substitute. He had barely called in for work, usually being extremely healthy and quite good at avoiding getting sick, so him being bedridden was a shock to himself.
Still, the nice sudden break from being at school and teaching was nice. That, and being able to sleep a good portion of the day was good.
And who was he kidding, he wasn't sure what to make of what was going on between him and Jason. He, of course, was happy to oblige to the partnership. But he still wondered just exactly how things would work. It wasn't like he couldn't deal with staying professional during school hours, but he couldn't see how this relationship would affect the teen. It wasn't exactly healthy. And he didn't want to subject the other to a relationship that had a high chance of caving in on itself.
Maybe the fact that he would't be in class for a few days were good. Jason would be able to think perhaps, and if it ended as a fluke, Dick wouldn't mind. At least he didn't mind if it meant Jason being happier with someone else. But he couldn't be selfish about it right?
God why is he thinking this, he needs more sleep. Hopefully the substitute got all his lesson plans.]

Of course being in bed for so long also meant he hadn't done anything almost all week, which is why he had packed a duffel bag and can be seen in front of the local fitness center getting out of his car. He always went in the evening. There were usually less people around and it meant he had the gymnastics equipment to himself usually.
And it also meant that he wouldn't attract a crowd of some kind. His mind was still on Jason, but he had no way to come in contact with the other outside of school. He'd just have to talk with him when he came back to school Monday.
He sighs as he stretches and warms up. Now if only his mind would get off the subject Jason.]
no subject
God, he sounded like a scorned woman.
When he was out of detention it was already evening, and he cursed and kept kicking a rock as he strutted his way home. He was overreacting, he knew it. But he couldn't help it, he couldn't help himself.
He would forget about Grayson for now. He'd just wait for him, and prove him he was mature and understood. He'd stop thinking about him, stop remembering him with every little thing and seeing him everywhere. Stop seeing him...
...training?
Jason has right now his face plastered on the glass walls of the Gym, not sure if Dick really IS Dick but not having the guts to go inside and check it...]
no subject
He did wonder how Jason was doing. If Jason was angry at him for not being at school and if he was doing okay. He couldn't help it. He was sure the teenager would react negatively to him not suddenly being there.
Suddenly Monday sounded like it was going to suck.
He pushed the thought out of his head. He had to concentrate.
He didn't touch the equipment quite yet. He did a few handstands to make sure his balance wasn't off. Then he did a few flips, landing with ease and elegance. Well he wasn't too out of practice. That's good.
It was a whole different story when he finally got on the parallel bars though. It became apparent that he wasn't just a novice at them.
no subject
Okay, he could see why he would be uncomfortable, but still.
Right now he was focusing on watching him, though. He had known Grayson had to do something to keep being in that good shape of his, and he had even been more sure after he had seen him in all his naked glory. He had assumed he... ran or something equally lame because that's what teachers do, right? But Grayson wasn't his average teacher.
It was clear he wasn't new at this, he was... graceful. Fluid. Like it was as easy as breathing for him. And it was a beautiful thing to watch. Jay was just going to enjoy the view for now, there'd be time to kick Dick's butt for leaving him alone later.]
no subject
It's only weird if you thought about it like that. But Dick probably considers Jason his equal or something like that.
Dick Grayson was a thrill seeker. Which made it perhaps odd he settled for teaching. But he probably also truly enjoyed teaching kids. Because it's like raising them right? Dick is weird anyways.
And he should have realized that his body couldn't handle so much activity so suddenly. So it shouldn't have been a surprise when he suddenly felt dizzy. And he shouldn't have been surprised when he missed his footing on the bar. And he really shouldn't have been surprised when he went crashing to the floor.
But he was still surprised anyways. The worst part was. He didn't have the energy to get back up yet. Maybe going out to the gym was a stupid idea.] "Dick, you are an idiot because you knew this was going to happen but you did it anyways."
no subject
He knew there had to be a strong reason for him not to come, and the fact that he didn't know what reason it was was what made him angry, but it was easier to be scorned and angry than to be worried.
...That was until he saw Dick doing gymnastics. Really? He can't come to school but he can perfectly jump around like a monkey? Bullshit. He was going to kick his butt, he was going to grab him, kiss him and kick his butt so hard he woul-
And then, in a second he forgets why was he angry and runs to Dick's side when he falls, forgetting he isn't supposed to even be here, or be seen]
Fuck- Grayson, are you ok? Are you hurt?
no subject
How funny that it's easy for Dick to be worried and he had trouble being angry.
Seriously, he must be tired. His mind didn't even register the familiarity of Jason's voice. Even though he knew Jason's voice so well.] I-I'm alright. Just dizzy.
[Dizzy was an understatement. His body was probably warming up and his face must have been unnaturally hot even for just being active. Oh and the unnaturally cold sweat he had. And it even took him a minute to properly focus his eyes when he looked at Jason.
Although he did finally register who it was.] Jason?
no subject
It's not like he's a doctor, but Dick seems to be coherent... and he doesn't look like had any broken bones or serious injury, it must just have hurt like a bitch to fall like that, but at least he didn't fall in a bad way. Jason sighs in relief.]
...Yeah, 's me.
[Once he's over the panic of watching his crush fall, he realizes the body warmth, and the sweat... and the annoyance creeps back in again.]
What the fuck do ya think you're doing in here? You couldn't even come class this morning, what makes ya think you could do this?
no subject
All the practices must have taught him at least ways to fall with getting the least possible injuries. It was instinctive luckily. Still sucks to fall.]
When...?
[And he smiles at that. Jason yelling at him. He's not sure why, but maybe because it's obvious the other cares. Or maybe he's just that stupidly sick.]
Couldn't...stand staying in bed. I didn't think I'd exhaust myself that much...
...I think I forgot the part about being bedridden so badly I could barely make the phonecall for a substitute. [He leaned his forehead against Jason's arm. The material of his jacket was so cool against his forehead.] Can you get my water from my bag. Please...?
no subject
You're a freaking idiot. And a dumbass. What if you broke your... neck or something?
[As he speaks, he looks around for the bag Dick is talking about and then reaches for it. He blindly reaches for the bottle without even looking at what's inside the bag. Not because he cares about 'privacy' or stuff like that.
He doesn't. He's stolen before, he's barged inside of people's house when they weren't inside, stealing his classmate's stuff. He doesn't care about privacy. He's just too worried and angry to actually check what's in it. Besides it's probably Dick's dirty clothes anyway...]
I should leave you to die here, jerk.
no subject
I was trained to avoid nasty falls. It's instinctive to fall in certain ways.
[There's probably not a lot in there anyways. Some folded clothes, a towel, his phone, water, and maybe some other loose items. There may also be items from his old gymnastic days. He didn't really check what was in the bag himself. He just put other stuff in it since he was in a hurry.]
Please don't.
[He can't tell if you're joking or something. But he doesn't want you to leave. So he may have weakly tugged at your sleeve.] I've missed you.
no subject
I don't care. You brought this on yourself. [He snorts...
But that's not true. He cares, and he's trying to fight a little smile at the thought that Dick might have missed him. Him, Jason Todd. It's a warm feeling, but he's not a chick that'd be impressed by Dick's lipservice, so he just grunts]
Can you at least stand up?
[He wraps an arm around Dick's waist. Because he wants to help him stand up if he can, and maybe because he just wants to touch Dick, somehow]
no subject
I guess I have. But it's too late now.
[He missed him a lot. Shut up.]
I think...
[And he might have clung to the other quite a bit as he got to his feet. He's still pressing his face against Jason's arm. Well he did try looking up, but the whole room immediately started spinning and hiding his face against his arm was apparently fixing that.]
Fuck... [Oh right. Supposed to be watching his language. Naw.] Not going to be able to drive home at this point...
no subject
The sex was definitely a plus though.]
I know how to drive. [He thinks he might be able to carry him to the car, but he's not going to carry him all the way] You'll just have to show me the way.
...Fuck Grayson, you're burning. What the hell- I can't even, I am supposed to be immature one here.
no subject
Hnn...my car has a GPS. [He steadies himself a little before he attempts to crouch down to pick up his duffel bag.] I'll show you.
I thought I wasn't that bad. I guess I was sicker then I thought. I usually don't get this sick. [He stumbles a little as he starts to try walking while also trying to find his keys from his bag. Man this was sad, he couldn't even do this.]
no subject
Wow, fancy. [He's stolen those before.] But how did you think you were able to do... this, when you can't even walk properly is beyond me.
[It doesn't take long for them to reach the car. Jason recognized it from the school, he's seen Dick come and leave the school in it.]
no subject
I was fine when I got here and even during stretches. I think going on the parallel bars was expecting too much of my body. [Oh hey he somehow found his keys and handed them to Jason.
The inside of Dick's car had a sweet smell to it, although from the looks of it he didn't have any of those car fresheners in it.]
no subject
But he also knows he shouldn't be feeling like this. Not for a teacher. It's like he's dirtying Dick with his... self.]
I shouldn't have to play nurse for you, jerkass.
[He manages to slide Dick inside of the car, and jumps to the driver's seat.]
Set the GPS. We'll talk when you're better.
no subject
[He immediately buckles his seat belt before setting the GPS. It takes him a little bit to do so, but he finally sets the coordinates to his place before curling up in the passenger seat.
Dick wasn't exactly a big man, but he looked tinier then usual doing that.] I don't mean to be so much trouble. [The way he said it made it sound kind of like he's said it before though.]
no subject
[...But he stops when he notices how little he looks. And how sad. Fuck, he didn't mean to make him look sad. He was just trying to... make a point, or something. He really need to control those anger issues he apparently has.]
...It's ok. [He half-mutters as he starts driving, letting the GPS tell him where to go] I was just... worried about you. I guess.
no subject
You're reacting similar to someone I know who didn't like seeing me get sick. I wasn't the healthiest little kid when it came to illnesses. [It was rare for Dick to bring up any part of his past. He always seemed to be thinking of the present and often skirted away from questions dealing with it.]
I know you're worried. I just didn't mean to make you worry.
no subject
... your... father? [He asks, rather hesitant. He thought of an ex at first but that wouldn't make sense with the little kid comment...]
It's ok if you don't...want to talk about it though.
no subject
Adopted. [He corrected.] My parents were used to it. There isn't really anything such as healthcare for a traveling circus. But it was different when I settled in.
[It wasn't like he didn't want to talk about it. But he was worried that if he ever told everyone who he was the son of, they'd treat him differently. Although it would be easy to look it up on the internet if anyone was really that curious and he was sure of the kids had already before.]
no subject
Jason adored him.]
...Oh. I didn't know you were born in one.
[He's slowly seeing where will the conversation go, interested but at the same time making it clear it can stop whenever Dick wants to, if he doesn't feel comfortable.
And Jason wouldn't look differently at him... but why would Dick like him would be even more of a mystery if he knew he was wealthy]
no subject
And even if he missed performing, he would never regret becoming a teacher because of it.]
Born and raised to leap hundreds of feet into the air without safety. [And yet he was so very calm about it.] But they couldn't keep me when I lost my parents. Of course, this place has a crappy social worker system. Brilliant idea to put a kid who watched his parents die in juvie. [He's rambling. And he knows he is, but he can't stop himself either.
It's probably because he's wealthy that he doesn't care for those things. He grew up in a humble lifestyle. no amount of money changed that.]
